These are some tips to ensure you get the most life out of your spray tan!

Avoid Water and Excessive Sweating:

Refrain from any activities that may cause excessive sweating or contact with water for at least 8-10 hours after your spray tanning session. This includes avoiding activities such as exercising, swimming, washing dishes, showering, or any activity that may cause you to sweat excessively.

Showering Advice:

Wait for the recommended time (usually 8-10 hours) before showering after your spray tan session.

During this time, the tan will continue to develop and interact with your skin to achieve the desired color.

When showering after the recommended time, use lukewarm water and do not use any soaps or body washes, just rinse the bronzer off with water. While in the shower, gently rub the bronzer off your body with your hands until the water runs clear.

Pat your skin dry with a towel instead of rubbing, as rubbing may cause your tan to fade unevenly.

Avoid Exfoliating:

Avoid using harsh exfoliants, loofahs, or scrubbing brushes for the duration of your spray tan.

Gentle exfoliation can be resumed after your tan has fully developed and before your next session to ensure an even fade.

Moisturize Regularly:

Hydrated skin helps maintain the longevity of your spray tan. Apply a moisturizer daily, focusing on dry areas such as elbows, knees, and ankles. Choose a moisturizer that is free of oils, as oil-based products can cause your tan to fade faster.

Avoid Harsh Skincare Products:

Avoid using products that contain alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), retinol, or benzoyl peroxide, as they can accelerate the fading process. Opt for gentle, pH-balanced skincare products to preserve your tan.

Be Mindful of Clothing:

Wear loose-fitting clothing after your spray tan session to prevent rubbing or smudging. Avoid wearing tight clothes or shoes that may cause friction on your freshly tanned skin.

Use Sun Protection:

Spray tan does not provide protection from the sun’s UV rays, you should still use sunscreen when exposed to sunlight. Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to protect your skin and prevent premature fading.

Remember, everyone’s skin is unique, and individual results may vary. Proper aftercare will help extend the life of your spray tan and maintain a beautiful, even color.
